Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are you accepting new patients?

Yes, we always welcome new patients to our practice!  If you are new to the practice and need an appointment, please note that we need all prior records sent to our office before making your appointment. This gives our doctors adequate time to prepare prior to your appointment and that means less wait time. It also allows us to give an appropriate amount of time for the appointment in case there are additional issues to discuss. Thank you and welcome aboard!

  • What Should I Do If It's My First Appointment?

Complete patient forms before you arrive. Filling them out beforehand will save you time by not having to complete them during your appointment.

If you elect not to fill out these forms ahead of time, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time.
  • How Do I Make An Appointment?

To make an appointment please call our office or click the green Appointments Tab at the top of the page.

To ensure the best use of time, for both our physician and patients, all of our office visits are by appointment only. We ask that you arrive at our office 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This will allow you to complete any necessary paperwork and to update any demographic and insurance changes. If you must cancel an appointment, please notify us as soon as possible so we can offer that time to someone else.
  • How Do I Obtain a Prescription Refill?

Please call our main office number at 856-258-7767 or have the pharmacist contact us. Allow one business day for all routine prescription refills. As it may take three to five days to obtain approval for prescriptions that require prior authorization from your insurance company, please plan your refills accordingly. Prescription refills for controlled substances such as pain medications are refilled Monday through Friday only.
  • Do You Accept My Insurance?

  • What's the difference between a family doctor and an internist?

Family doctors are trained to provide for the entire family, from infant to geriatric care. Internists see only patients age 18 and older and have additional training in managing complex adult diseases. Some internists may treat patients as young as age 12. We recommend that you check with the office to determine their practice range.
  • Can a family physician serve as a primary care provider for children and adults?

Yes, family physicians are trained to manage common problems ranging from birth to old age. Certain practices may focus on special lifecycle stages.
  • When will I receive lab or test results?

You will receive a call right away with any lab results that require urgent attention. Other abnormal lab results will be addressed in a timely fashion by the provider that ordered the labs or tests. Normal values are usually not reported, however, you are welcome to call our office to request a copy of your results. The best way to get lab results is to sign-up for our   Patient Portal   on our home page.
  • How often does my child need to be seen in the office?

Our routine health maintenance visit schedule follows the  American Academy of Pediatrics  vaccine guideline for children.
  • How often should I schedule a checkup?

The American Medical Association recommends annual "well" visits yearly. A well visit may be a checkup or a complete exam, and provides an opportunity for you to ask questions and learn more about various health issues. Your health care provider may also order important age-appropriate screenings at this time. Periodic follow-up visits are also recommended for patients who have chronic health conditions.
  • How do I contact the doctor after hours?

A doctor is available 24 hours a day. Call the office at 856-258-7767 to contact the doctor. Please be aware that after-hours calls are intended for urgent medical issues that cannot wait until the next business day. Referral and appointment requests will not be addressed after office hours. Emergency calls are typically returned within 15 minutes. Please call back if you have not received a timely response.
